Schedule a Meeting with our Panelist Coordinator
After your form is received, you will be asked to schedule an informal interview with our Panelist Coordinator to learn more about your story and panel interests.
Meet with our Panelist Coordinator
Practicing telling our story helps us decide what we want to share and what we DO NOT want to share. Our Panelist Coordinator is a great person to practice your story with.
Unfortunately, we cannot host everyone
Since starting We the Experts in 2020, we have discovered that our community is eager to share their stories. Each year, we have more interest than panels and unfortunately not everyone who completes the panelist interest process will participate on a panel. We want to acknowledge that our community is more sensitive to rejection and have tried to make our process as gentle as possible. And, we hope you will continue to find community and healing as a We the Experts supporter.
Panelist Process
Being a We the Experts is more than just showing up the day of the panel. We have created a thoughtful process to connect and support our panelists before and after the actual panel.
Panelist Information Form
A confirmation email with our Panelist Information Form link will be sent to you to collect contact info, your headshot, your bio, and your social media information (if applicable).
Pre-panel Meeting
This is one of the most important elements of the panelist process. Panelists and staff get to meet one another, listen and share stories, ask questions, and review the panel agenda together.
Join Early + Stay for a Debrief
Panelists log into Zoom 20-30 minutes prior to the 10 am PT panel start time and stay on an additional 20-30 minutes to debrief the panel experience and share what post-panel support they need/want.
Share Your Knowledge
We love when our panelists share with our community what movies, books, groups, social media accounts, and other resources they have found helpful and informative - or they just really enjoy!
Spread the Word
We appreciate our panelists help getting the word out about our upcoming panels, events, and courses to their communities. You never know who is out there that is needing to hear your story!
You Are Valuable to Us
We recognize that being a We the Experts panelist takes time and requires the emotional labor of our panelists. We offer a modest honorarium to our panelists to thank them for their efforts.
At Adoption Mosaic we believe that we all deserve a healthy lifelong adoption experience regardless of our position in the adoption constellation or the resources we have. We provide spaces where the adoption constellation/community feels valued, heard, understood and accepted as a full member of society, their family, and community.
